The Gossib Gathering is an artistic research project by Sanne Freijdag, weaving together the histories of the Godsib and the quilting tradition, two ancient practices rooted in care, community, and coming together.

Together, we hand-stitch the top of a quilt, no experience needed. Using a simple improv patchwork technique, we collectively create one large blanket to be gifted to a mother-to-be, while sharing conversations about care, community, history, and the future.

All are welcome, whether you've never held a needle or you're an experienced stitcher.

The quilt will be worked on across three dates - 28 June, 5 July, and 12 July - and you're welcome to join one session or all three.
