About Communist Fancy Pesto

Communist Fancy Pesto is an English-speaking improv theatre troupe in Utrecht. The group performs fully improvised shows, drawing on audience suggestions to create unexpected stories and quick-witted comedy. Performances mix absurd humour with moments of the profound, all delivered by a nine-person cast. Events include themed shows such as Hallo-IMPROV-ween, which blends long-form improv with horror genres. These performances are part comedy, part horror, and entirely unscripted. Audience participation is encouraged, but there is no pressure to perform, as the cast takes on all the improvisation. Drinks are available at the bar before the show.
