A room full of strangers, all reading together. That's a Reading Rave.
About the rave
The quietest rave in town. Same room, same hour, everyone with their nose in a book. We say hello, we read, we talk. You go home with some proper me-time, a chapter behind you and a few new names in your phone.
No club, invite or membership needed. But during this special edition, we're mixing 2 Book Reviews with the Reading Raves. So you might get a first sight on how The Book Review goes even if not joining yourself!
🚨Free access for monthly reads of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and The Correspondent by Virginia Evans!
What to expect
Bring whatever you're reading, grab a coffee, and settle in. Say hello to the person next to you, phones go face down and we read together until... We don't. Novel, poetry, magazine, study book, audiobook: all reading counts.
When we close our books, we talk. Not about summarising your chapter, but the kind of conversation that happens when there are so many different books on one table. After that we're officially done, though half the room usually stays for one more drink.
Come alone, most people do. Doing a Monthly or Seasonal with us? Check if somebody of the club is in or ask us at check-in: we can point you in the right direction.
Good to know
Club tickets are for everyone in our WhatsApp community, with or without a drink on us. First time with us? Pick the First timer ticket. We're a non-alcoholic club, so we keep it to coffee, tea and something fresh. No refunds, but up to 48 hours before you can pass your seat to a friend or move it to next month via info@herhalfreadbookclub.com.
See you there, lovely!
Media notice: we sometimes take photos in the room for our socials. Prefer not to be in them? Just let us know when you arrive.
