Welcome to Slow Starters Amsterdam! We are a social club for expats in Amsterdam who want to try new things together, without the pressure of being good at them. Every month we gather for a new experience. Painting, clay, hiking, yoga, movie nights, running, or whatever we feel like exploring next. There is no theme, no niche, and no agenda. Just a group of curious people showing up for something new. No experience needed. Ever. What to expect: → A warm, welcoming atmosphere → Small, intimate groups (10-15 people) → A mix of creative, social and outdoor experiences → A community of expats from all over the world Whether you have been in Amsterdam for two weeks or two years, there is always something new to explore and someone new to explore it with. I’m from India and have been living in Amsterdam for the past seven months. I absolutely love reading, especially historical fiction, fantasy, classics, and literary fiction. One of my favourite things to do is talk about books and connect with people through the stories we read. When I’m not reading, you’ll probably find me walking or cycling around Amsterdam, soaking up the beauty of the city.
