The Social Corner Book Club

Maggie O’Farrell’s Land is our October book club pick. Settle into the new season with this atmospheric, slow-burn mystery that perfectly matches the moody vibe of autumn. Set in 1865 on the windswept peninsulas of Ireland, the novel follows a father and son mapping the countryside when an unsettling encounter in an ancient wood unearths dangerous secrets. Its themes of survival, colonization, and recovery will make for a rich discussion in our next meeting.

Once a month, on a Monday, we get together in a cozy spot in the city to talk about a good book and meet new people.

The evening is hosted by Carolina, a writer and poet who keeps the conversation going, so there's no awkward silence and everyone gets to join in. We keep the group small on purpose, so it stays personal and everyone has room to share their thoughts.

And like all our Social Corner events, it's really about the people. It's a chance to meet women in the city and hopefully leave with a few new friends.
