Approval mode
Approval mode lets you review ticket requests before people can attend your event. This is great for curated communities or events with limited spots.
How it works
- Someone requests a ticket for your event
- You receive an email notification
- You review the request in your dashboard
- You approve or reject the request
- The person is notified of your decision
For paid events, approved attendees then complete payment to secure their spot.
Enabling approval mode
When creating or editing an event:
- Look for the Approval required toggle
- Turn it on
- Save your event
Reviewing requests
When you have pending requests:
- Go to Host > Events
- Click on your event
- Go to the Requests tab
- You'll see all pending requests
For each request, you can see:
- Name of the requester
- Email address
- Number of tickets requested
Approving a request
Click Approve to accept the request:
- For free events, the person is immediately confirmed
- For paid events, they receive a link to complete payment
Rejecting a request
Click Reject to decline the request:
- You can optionally add a reason
- The person is notified their request wasn't approved
