Payouts and fees
Here's everything you need to know about getting paid for your events.
Platform fees
Weeknights charges a small platform fee on paid tickets:
Founding clubs: 2.5%
This fee is taken from each ticket sale. For example:
- €20 ticket → €0.50 platform fee → You receive €19.50 (minus Stripe fees)
Free events are always free - No fees for free RSVPs.
Stripe processing fees
In addition to the Weeknights fee, Stripe charges payment processing fees:
- European cards: 1.5% + €0.25
- Non-European cards: 2.9% + €0.25
These are standard Stripe fees that apply to all online payments.
Example breakdown
For a €20 ticket with a European card:
- Ticket price: €20.00
- Stripe fee (1.5% + €0.25): €0.55
- Weeknights fee (2.5%): €0.50
- You receive: €18.95
When you get paid
Payouts happen automatically through Stripe:
- Timing: Payouts are sent to your bank account on a rolling basis
- Schedule: Typically every 2-7 days, depending on your Stripe account settings
- Currency: Euros (EUR)
You can check your payout schedule in your Stripe dashboard.
Viewing your earnings
To see your ticket sales and earnings:
- Go to Host > Events
- Click on your event
- View the Attendees tab to see ticket sales
For detailed financial reports, visit your Stripe dashboard.
Refunds and fees
When you refund a ticket:
- The full amount is returned to the attendee
- Stripe processing fees are not refunded (Stripe policy)
- Weeknights fees are refunded
Tax considerations
Weeknights does not handle taxes. You're responsible for:
- Reporting income from ticket sales
- Paying any applicable taxes
- Keeping records of your earnings
