Booking a ticket
Last updated 21 August 2026
Found an event you like? Here's how booking works on Weeknights.
Booking an event
- Open the event page and click Get Tickets (or Request Ticket if the event needs host approval)
- Choose how many tickets you want - up to 10 per booking, or fewer if the event is almost full
- Answer any questions the host has added
- Confirm your booking
You'll need a Weeknights account - if you're not logged in, you'll be asked to log in first and the booking picks up where you left off.

Free events
Free events are an instant RSVP. Click Confirm Booking and your spot is confirmed straight away - you'll get a confirmation email and your ticket appears under Your tickets.
Paid events
Paid events use Stripe's secure checkout. After choosing your quantity you're redirected to Stripe to pay by card. Your spot is held for 30 minutes while you complete payment - if you come back later, you can resume or restart the checkout from the event page.
The price you see is the price you pay. The order summary may show a small service fee amount, which is already included in the ticket price, never added on top.
Bringing guests
Booking more than one ticket? You'll be asked for each guest's full name and email. Guests receive their own invite email, and the host sees everyone on the guest list. If the host added booking questions, each guest answers them too.
Booking questions
Some hosts ask a few questions when you book - for example dietary preferences or experience level. Questions marked with a * are required. Your answers go only to the host.
Discount codes
Got a code from the host? Enter it in the Discount code field on the first step of checkout (paid events only) and click Apply. The discount applies to every ticket in your booking. Codes can expire or have limited uses, so if a code doesn't work you'll see why.
Events that require approval
Some events review requests before confirming spots. You won't be charged until the host approves you - see Ticket requests and approvals for how that works.
Sold out?
If an event is full you can join the waitlist - see Waitlists.
